Brian Bruney came to camp twenty pounds less and looking in much better shape. Joe Girardi liked the way his arm looked and praised him for losing pounds. Bruney claims he’s not finished yet and he wants to be under 230 pounds. How much under he didn’t say but not too much. After being left off of last years playoff roster he understood that he needed to change something. So he burned away those pounds. We can only hope that was all he was missing. Because those pounds are what he is missing now.
Brian Bruney – Burned and still Burning
February 27, 2008 by yankeesmobile2008 Lineup – Catchers
February 26, 2008 by yankeesmobileNext up in the projected 25 man roster for the 2008 season are the catchers. In the starting lineup of course is Jorge Posada and there’s no chance someone takes it from him unless he’s injured or bats under .220. Right behind him is Jose Molina and judging by the 2 year deal he got same goes by him if he’s healthy and doesn’t play horrible he’s staying as the backup. Nobody else is even going to be given a chance.
Q&A with Phil Hughes
February 26, 2008 by yankeesmobilePeter Abraham is going to ask 15 questions to Phil Hughes and one of those questions can be yours. Today is the last day to submit a question. If you’re interested you can either send Peter Abraham an email or post a comment at Phil Hughes blog. Good Luck.
Cashman, Hank, and some more
February 26, 2008 by yankeesmobileToday Hank Steinbrenner was asked about Brian Cashman’s contract status which will expire at the end of this season. He answered right now we’re not talking about it but in middle of the season we’ll have a chat and see where that leads. Cashman was not reached for a response. Brett Gardner has impressed Joe Girardi and has a pretty good chance of making the team on the bench or if someone gets injured, Girardi also said he first wants to see what everyone can do at real games and not just batting practice. That’s all for now I’ll be back later or in the morning for some more.
